So, why Aston?...

Our programmes are designed to meet the expanding opportunities for Chemical Engineers and provide an outstanding foundation for a successful and fulfilling career.

Our aim is to match the excellence of our programmes with a corresponding attention to the needs of the student as an individual rather than a mere statistic. You are assigned to a personal tutor and meet with them each week to give you an opportunity to discuss not only your work problems and questions but anything which may be of concern.

Aston offers a wide range of choice of degree courses with the flexibility that means the degree programme code on your UCAS form does not commit you totally to that original programme. Some students find this of great benefit when their interest is sparked by a new aspect of chemical engineering.

We offer [in both sandwich and full-time formats]: MEng in Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry,   MEng in Chemical Engineering, BEng in Chemical Engineering.

Full accreditation is given by the Institution of Chemical Engineers to the academic content of all our Chemical Engineering degree programmes and the period of industrial experience on the sandwich programmes. The appropriate period spent in a responsible position after graduation can therefore count towards corporate membership of the Institution. Graduates from the MEng in Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry can become corporate members of both the Institution of Chemical Engineers and the Royal Society of Chemistry and with appropriate experience, achieve the status of Chartered Engineer and Chartered Chemist.

Aston continues to be either top oor near the top of the graduate employment league. Over the past decade graduates from Aston have been more successful than those from any other British University in finding permanent employment within six months of graduating. CEAC's employment record is similarly excellent with over 90% of our students traditionally being placed in their first positions in industry or commerce within six months of graduating.

Process MonitoringAston is deservedly proud of its reputation and the range of its programmes, the latter including the exceptional MEng in Chemical Engineering & Applied Chemistry which is the focus of a great deal of interest, from both applicants and industry alike.
